How to Survive in a Depression Hole

When trying to survive in a depression hole, the hardest hurdle to overcome is the sheer lack-of-will-to-anything, let alone dig for your life.

Most people in here don’t want to do a single thing beyond laying face down in bed groaning. We’ve been experiencing thoughts disappearing into black smoke, flu-like body aches, and a general sense that going on living might be a bit more than we can handle this week!

If that’s you, now or ever, you’re in the right place.

Because everything is absolutely awful, I will be focusing on keeping things extra simple and lovely, just to take the edge off those hopeless, end-of-the-world vibes!

When things start to spiral downwardly, it’s easy to feel out-of-control super fast, which can increase those hopeless feels exponentially.

I used to make epic wonder-lists of everything that it would be great to have done! I thought I was a helper. Turns out I was making things feel even more crappy by listing all the things we couldn’t manage.

Over time, I have done my best to finesse the items I put on to-do lists as only the most necessary of all. Especially in times such as these.

Focusing on these things will not solve everything in a day, but it can for sure…
