My First Year Raving Was The Best Year of My Entire Life

That title is no joke, 2019 was my first year raving and was hands down the absolute best year of my entire life. I don’t make the rule. I did something completely and entirely out of my comfort zone and it helped me develop into a (what still feels like) new person. I am 25 years young and despite the treacherous route 2020 has made relatively the whole world take, 2019 was undoubtedly the best year ever. I have the entire raving community and everything it entails to thank for that too.

So I officially went to my first show for Peekaboo in Orlando (peep the sick banner)

That was my first taste of the rave scene and it was in this cool hole in the wall style warehouse, but like tiny, tiny warehouse vibes. Anyways fast-forward 2 months and I am going to my first FESTIVAL at EDC Orlando and that was what I thought at the time to be the best weekend of my life. EDCO at this time was only 2 days long, 12 hours a piece and you get lost in wonderland the whole time. Had I believe 4 total stages and it was practically heaven to me, I had an unforgettable experience. I basically got addicted I guess you could say because for the next relatively 55+ odd weekends straight I went to a local rave, probably went to 5 festivals, EDCO 19’ being my last festival thus far. Matter of fact! EDCO 19’ had about 6 stages ! As well as a total 3 days because they expanded 25 acres. It was truly incredible.

The festival life isn’t for everybody, but if you’re willing to set foot into the unknown then I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.
