I travel a lot. I love the adventure and the expansion that happens in discovering new cuisines, landscapes and different cultures. In traveling across the globe, I have learned more about myself and…

Preface

The original book, The Prophet, has been in print since it was published in 1923. It has been translated into more than 50 languages and has been on the bestsellers list in every country it’s been sold in. It has sold tens of millions of copies over the years. The Prophet has inspired dozens of famous people, including the Beatles, Indira Gandhi and John F. Kennedy. Even though The Prophet Returns is written in a very clear voice, you will gain more and more with each subsequent reading, just like with re-reading the original The Prophet. Also, like the original, anyone reading this work can relate and feel like the speaker is addressing them personally, making this a great book to gift. It makes a particularly excellent gift to commemorate a birth, wedding, anniversary, Valentine’s Day, and even sadly, a death. It is also a great gift along with ZERO is ONE to give anybody who is struggling in life from anxiety or other mental health issues. Also, like the original, there is no dogma in here. The book is actually partially about being non-judgmental. Whatever faith you may believe in, and even if you are an atheist, this book will inspire you.

I am not sure that there is anything “new” in the concepts that I am writing about. There is certainly not anything new in the intention of this work, which is to add value to the world and greater universe, and hopefully catalyze an evolution in readers. Since the seeing of awakening, I have read a wealth of books in the spiritual realm and have continued to read many books in far different fields including fantasy, self-help, psychology, medicine, surgery, finance and real estate. As an avid reader, I read or listen to audiobooks, consuming up to two books a week. I highly recommend audiobooks for those of you who still have not tried them. Perhaps give me a listen after you read this book in print, or perhaps you are already listening to it or doing both simultaneously.

There are authors who have had a major influence on my ideas and writings, and I really want to acknowledge the major influences now before you get into the book proper (my British upbringing may color my vocabulary at points).

Finally, of course, Khalil Gibran and The Prophet (probably the first book on spirituality I ever read other than the Bible) has to be acknowledged. Even though it is doubtful that Gibran himself was seeing awakening, he certainly was spiritually influenced in both his writings and art.
